Spring Denim

Denim Jacket: Papaya, Shirt: Forever 21, Skirt: Ann Taylor Loft, Earrings & Bracelet: J Crew,  Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Prada, Shoes: Sole Society c/o

Today I paired a striped button down with a pretty floral skirt. For some reason, every time I think of floral print, I think of stripes. It's weird how my brain is trained to make these associations. I guess it's because I know that I already love to combination so it becomes my go-to. I added a denim jacket and nude pumps that have the perfect touch of neon, just to keep things interesting!

Also, I would love, love, love if you would continue to vote for me in the Wallis Fashion ambassador contest! It only takes a second and it would make me so happy! Just visit there Facebook Page here, "like" it, then click on the "Blogger Ambassador contest", and vote for A Keene Sense of Style! Make sure you accept the ap. I know it's a bit of a hassle but it would be such a big help!

As always, I really appreciate your support. Thank you so much for reading.

Lovely Linen & An Amazing Opportunity

Jacket & Dress: Vintage/Thrifted and tailored, Belt: Charlotte Russe (old), Scarf: Thrifted, Necklace: Veronica M Boutique, Earrings: H&M, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: IN PINK c/o, Bag: Vintage Dior (Thrifted in France), Shoes: Ivanka Trump

Last week, I was presented with an incredible opportunity -- a chance to become the first U.S. brand ambassador for Wallis Fashion, a London-based retailer that sells chic and affordable women’s wear. I had to read the e-mail several times over before it sank in. I was absolutely thrilled to even be considered! I'm competing against 27 other bloggers to be the face of this amazing brand and to travel to London for their press tour. You can vote for me once a day, via Facebook, by clicking hereWallis will choose the winner from the 5 blogger contestants with the most votes.

Wallis Fashion specializes in chic and sophisticated clothing that fits perfectly with my personal style. I’m always trying to create outfits that look great without breaking the budget, whether it means finding 10 different ways to wear one dress, searching for designer deals online, or scouring my local thrift stores. Wallis Fashion offers exactly what I'm looking for -- clothing that looks like a million bucks, but is affordable for young working women like me. I would be honored to represent the Wallis brand and continue inspiring women to achieve beautiful looks that they love every day!

It would mean so much if you could take a moment to vote for me! Just click herePlease feel free to share with friends and family. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Spring Mint

Blouse: J Crew, Skirt: Zara (old), Earrings: H&M, Bracelet: Gifted, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Kenneth Cole Reaction, Necklace: Forever 21, Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Nails: OPI "Pinking of You", Lips: L'Oreal Liner Au Naturale

Spring colors make me so happy. Today I paired pretty pastels and a ladylike peplum for a soft and feminine look.

Also, I have been wanting to try a hair wand ever since I first saw it in a You Tube tutorial. I finally got my hands on a great one by Nume and I have been playing around with it to create different wavy hair looks. I have yet to perfect the technique, but I already like the results! I love finding great new hair tools. Are you a fan of curling wands?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tangerine Tango

Sweater: J Crew Outlet on sale here, Pants: Denimocracy similar here, Belt: Zara, Earrings: H&M, Bracelets: Lenora Dame, Outrage Fashion c/o, IN PINK c/o, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Watch: Michael Kors, Shoes: Zara, Bag: Louis Vuitton

I wore this look last week when it was a bit chilly out and didn't get to post it so I figured I would share it with you today. I love pairing white with bold colors like this lovely Tangerine turtleneck. I spent my weekend running errands and doing fun fashion-y things. Yesterday, I stopped by Jigsaw London for a little styling session that I can't wait to share with you later. And on Saturday, I attended the Simply Stylist event where I met so many great fashion girls. A full recap to come soon!

I hope you had a great weekend, happy Monday!

Spring In Your Step

Top: Vintage Saks Fifth Avenue "Totally Mr. Mort by Stan Herman" seen before here, Skirt: Express (old), Belt: Vintage Harrods, Earrings: H&M, Necklace: Kitsch c/o, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: IN PINK c/o,  Sunnies: Chloe c/o Ditto, Ring: Forever 21 (old) Bag: Michael Kors, Shoes: Ivanka Trump

I'm so happy that it is officially spring! It totally makes me want to push all of my bulky black clothes to the deepest darkest part of my closet and not look at them for a few months. I mean, what's not to love about pops of yellow and green and fresh blooming flowers everywhere? I just love this season. Today I decided to welcome it with one of my favorite vintage vests and a textured white skirt.

Happy first second day of spring, everyone!

Dressed Up Denim

Jacket: Piazza Sempione similar here and here Shirt: Ralph Lauren here,  Jeans: Forever 21 here, Necklaces Both: Forever 21, Broach: Vintage, Earrings: H&M, Sunnies: Prada, Bag: Valeria Smith, Shoes: Zara (old), Lipstick: Mac "Amplified"

Today I wanted to dress up my casual denim and striped shirt combo, so I added sparkly heels and chunky jewelry. I paired two necklaces and a broach together to create one bold statement piece. I made sure to clasp the small silver necklace so that it would hang longer while keeping the pearl one higher. I then took a vintage broach and pinned it right on top. I just love playing with jewelry!

Are you loving the layered necklaces trend as much as I am?

Thanks for reading!

Color Pairings

Turtleneck: Merona via Target similar here, Skirt: Xhilaration via Target (also love this printed option), Coat: Paul & Joe Paris, Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim (and in other colors here), Bracelets: Charming Charlie, Sunnies: Chloe c/o Ditto Watch: Michael Kors, Earrings: H&M, Shoes: Christian Louboutin

I love pairing navy blue with yellow, and I love pairing it with red. So today, I decided to pair all three colors together for a chic and simple look. Most of the this look is solids with the exception of this great printed pencil skirt. Also, I bought this turtleneck randomly when I saw it in the clearance bin at Target but it has quickly become one of the go-to items in my wardrobe, I love when that happens.

I hope your week is going great so far, thanks for reading!

Stripes, Scarf Print, & Simply Stylist

Dress: Forever21 similar here, Shirt: H&M love this black and white option, Blazer: Zara (old), Necklace (pearls): Forever21, Necklace (diamonds): Via Ebay, Earrings: H&M, Clutch: Thrifted, Bracelet: Lenora Dame, Watch: Michael Kors, Shoes: Prada

Today I layered a striped button down shirt under a navy blue shift dress. Instead of pairing this combination with a classic navy blue blazer I decided to add a scarf print option to add visual interest. I accessorized by wearing two necklaces on top of each other to create one chic statement piece.

Also, I'm so excited to share with you a great event taking place in Los Angeles this Saturday. I attended last year (see post here) and it was a day filled with networking, fabulous guest speakers, and great girl talk! I will be covering it this year and I would love to meet you there!

Happy Monday!

The Anniversary

Dress: River Island via ASOS similar here, Coat: Sachi available here, Earrings: Forever 21, Bracelets: Charming Charlie, Bag: Gianni Bernini, Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Happy St. Patty's Day!
Last night I went out to celebrate my 3 year anniversary with boyfriend; I don't know where the time goes. It seems like just yesterday we met. It was a lovely evening, and I'm so excited for us to have come to another milestone in our relationship. Also on a more fashion-y note, I finally got to break out one of my favorite dresses. It reminds me of the Stella McCartney one that was seen all over the red carpet.

I hope you had a lovely weekend!

The Utility Vest

Shirt: J Crew Factory here, Vest: Forever 21 (love these options here and here, Shorts: Trina Turk (jeans cut to shorts) similar here, Small Necklace: Kitsch c/o, Big Necklace: London Flea Market, Earrings: H&M, Bracelets: IN PINK c/o and Charming Charlie, Watch: Michael Kors, Shoes: BCBG Generation, Bag: Louis Vuitton, Lipstick: (Liner) L'Oreal Color Riche "Au Naturale" buy it here

Today I decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather we have been having by breaking out my denim cut off shorts. They to me are a clear indication that the warmer months are just around the corner. Also, I wanted to give my utility vest a pop of color so I paired it with a neon v-neck before adding lots of pretty gold jewels. As you can tell, I have been a bit obsessed with layering necklaces lately -- so fun.

I hope you have a great weekend! Happy Friday!

Prints & Pleats

Sweater: Charlotte Russe, Scarf: New York Street Vendor, Skirt: Topshop (old), Earrings: H&M, watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: Gifted, Bag: Valeria Smith, Shoes: Bebe

Today I paired a black and white cropped sweater with a lime green pleated skirt and added my houndstooth scarf for visual interest. This scarf was styled so nice as I was leaving the house, but the wind had plans of its own. You'll have to disregard the fact that it's styled like seven different ways. C'est la vie!

On another note, Jigsaw London is having a lovely flash sale on all
of their sale accessories and shoes. Only until midnight PST. Shoppers can save an extra 20% off the sale price with the code MARCHMADNESS.  I love a good sale. Happy shopping!
