Prancing About

Romper: Ark and Co. via Paris and Me Boutique (Coronado Island), Earrings: Fashion of Echo Boutique, Bag: B Makowsky, Shoes: Ivanka Trump, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: Gifted (assorted), Necklace: Forever 21, Sunglasses: No Brand

I purchased this pretty playful romper while vacationing in San Diego over this past Memorial Day weekend. I stumbled upon Paris and Me Boutique as I was strolling around the streets of Coronado Island, and it was immediate sensory overload. There were so many beautiful and colorful things dangling from the hangers that I didn't even know where to begin. I purchased this along with some gorgeous kelly green shorts, and a double breasted white blazer, score! Something about this lovely romper just says have fun and don't take life so seriously.

Vintage Charm

Top and Pants: Vintage Saks Fifth Avenue "Totally Mr. Mort by Stan Herman", Necklace: Forever 21, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: Gifted, Earrings: H&M, Bag: B Makowsky, Shoes: Christian Louboutin

As you may already know, I love all things vintage. Whether it be a vintage bag or belt, or a full on ensemble like today's look. Adding vintage pieces to an outfit gives it character. I am positively smitten with this yellow Stan Herman pant suit, and I find that the color is perfect for spring and summer. Also, I love the fact that I can separate these pieces and wear them with other things, like I did in this post.

What do you think? Do you have any go to vintage pieces in your wardrobe?

One Skirt Two Ways

Skirt: Via Weekenders Boutique (inside of the Hotel Del Coronado), Watch: Michael Kors, Shoes: BCBG Generation, Tan & Red Clutch: Vintage, Both Statement Necklaces Via Forever 21, Gold Studs: H&M, Large Coral Earrings: Forever 21

Over the long weekend I purchased this lovely teal skirt, while I was vacationing in San Diego. What I love most about this skirt is the fact that it can be worn a multitude of ways. I'm always trying to re-configure clothing to serve multiple purposes; turning dresses to skirts and skirts to dresses (we have to maximize our wardrobe). In the first look, I wore the skirt with a plain white tank and let the accessories be the star of the show and in the second look I wore the skirt as a dress. Since it was a bit shapeless I added a belt and a matching statement necklace.
Next time you look in your closet start thinking about how you could wear something differently.

San Diego Strolling

Shirt: Forever 21, Jacket: Zara, Jeans: Fashion of Echo Boutique, Necklace 1: Jcrew, Necklace 2: Gifted, Ring: Forever 21, Earrings: H&M, Watch: Kessaris Quartz, Shoes: Charles David, Bag: Prada

I am really enjoying my time in San Diego. Although the weather is colder than expected, it is still so beautiful. Atleast it gives me an excuse to pull out this lovely pink tweed jacket that I picked up at Zara a few weeks ago, it's just the perfect weight for the chilly ocean breeze.

I hope you are having a glorious weekend too!

Day Dreaming

Dress: Forever 21, Earrings: Forever 21, Belt: Vintage, Shoes: Ivanka Trump, Clutch: Vintage, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: (Assorted) Forever 21 & Gifted, Hand Charm: BCBG Generation

All day I have been day dreaming about the upcoming Memorial Day weekend! I decided to slip into this lovely fuchsia dress that I recently picked up at forever 21. What I love about this dress other than the great color is the vertical line going up the middle of it. Vertical lines draw the eye up and down and give the impression of height (I told you that I need all the height I could get). This dress also came with its own navy blue sash, tie type of belt, and I swapped it out for this swanky vintage one. The easiest way to take a bargain buy from cheap to chic is by adding fabulous accessories! Also, because of the sheerness of this dress I also added a slip; nobody likes a wardrobe malfunction and proper undergarments are as important as the outfit itself.
On a different note, I'm so excited to be getting away for a couple of days for the holiday weekend. I'll be heading to San Diego for a little fun in the sun. Feel free to follow my adventures on Twitter and Instagram. What are your long weekend plans?

Have a wonderful Friday!

White Out

Blazer: Forever 21, Blouse: Zara, Jeans: Lublu, Earrinngs: H&M, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: Forever 21 & Gifted, Shoes: Charles David (recent) Bag: B Makowsky

I have been seeing the head to toe "white" trend for so long. In the winter months it was "winter white" come spring it's just white hot! Today it just felt right. Although I have seen this look go white all the way down to the shoe, I wanted to wear nude pumps since I would be wearing ankle pants. We all know that nude shoes elongate the leg; nude pointed toe pumps elongate the legs even more and totally make you look taller. I don't know about you, but I'll take all the height I can get.

Checkered With Pleats

Jacket: Vintage, Dress:  Double Zero (brand) via Fashion of Echo Boutique, Necklace: Forever 21 (recent), Ring: Forever 21, Earrings: H&M, Bag: Alfani, Sunglasses: No Brand, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: Gifted, Shoes: BCBG Generation

Today I wanted to wear this lovely yellow pleated dress (yes, more pleats this week!). I first toyed with the idea of wearing a shirt over top and only showing the skirt part. Then the light bulb went on in my head and I remembered how much I love navy blue and yellow together. This vintage jacket is a favorite of mine not only because of the cute cropped cut and great color combo. But also because of the checkered pattern and gorgeous pearl buttons; sometimes the most beautiful things lie in the simple details.

In Bloom

Blouse: Marc Jacobs, Pants: Trina Turk, Earrings: H&M, Ring: Forever 21, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Prada, Sunglasses: Prada, Shoes: Charles David (recent)

White pants, a floral bow blouse, and the loveliest weather a gal could ask for! This pretty Marc Jacobs blouse makes me feel so feminine even while pairing it with wide leg pants. I'm really loving the "white look" for spring/summer. Also, yesterday I realized that my past eleven posts have all been dresses or skirts, oops (I can't help that I love them)! Needless to say, today I decided to switch things up a bit.

Perfectly Pleated

Top, Skirt, & Necklace: Forever 21, Watch: Michael Kors, Earrings: H&M, Shoes: Vera Wang Lavender (recent), Bag: B Makowsky

Today's outfit is the ultimate bargain chic outfit! With another hot day in LA this look was perfect for twirling around in the sunlight. I absolutely love this yellow blouse and I think it is going to be the perfect summer staple. I see myself pairing it with white skinny jeans, a gold chain link necklace, and my purple B Brian Atwood heels; I'm a having a glamorous vision! But for now I love this pleated skirt, the colors with the silky texture are enough to make my heart go pitter patter.

I hope you're having a lovely Monday!

Sunny Day Stripes

Dress: Anthropologie, Earrings: H&M, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: F21 & Gifted, Ring: Gifted, Clutch: Vintage, Shoes: Steve Madden

I wore this beautiful silk dress today in an effort to beat the heat. The material is thin and lightweight so it kept me nice and cool while I bopped around and did a  little shopping. I was on the hunt for some "basics". I needed a new pair of nude pumps and some black mary jane's, (if you follow me on Twitter you got to see a little peek at what I bought)  although shopping for practical wardrobe staples isn't quite as fun, it must be done.

Pastels & Peplums

Dress: ASOS (worn as top), Skirt: Vintage, Necklace: Target, Shoes: Nine West, Sunglasses: No Brand, Watch: Michael Kors, Earrings: H&M, Clutch: Vintage

In this outfit, I touched on two of springs hottest trends: the peplum, and pastels. Sometimes it can be dangerous territory to try multiple trends at once, but I think in this case they are both subtle enough that it doesn’t look like a crazy mess. This appears to be a white peplum top but it's actually a dress. However the skirt on it is rather short so I decided to add this fabulous vintage pencil skirt instead to make it a little more of a daytime look. I then added one of my favorite statement necklaces to draw attention to the tops great neckline.
What trends are you currently loving?
