I'm so happy to be partnering with Target on another fun post today. As the new year approaches, we all start thinking about what our resolutions will be. While many people will say that they want to take more risks with fashion and try out more trends, my goal will be just the opposite. I love fashion and color and prints and texture, but over the years I've learned that sometimes I can overlook pieces that are beautiful in their minimalism. My style resolution for the new year is to wear more minimalistic outfits and to live by the "less is more" philosophy a little more often. For today's look, I kept Things simple by letting this great coat be the star of the show. I added in a cream colored turtleneck and black skinny jeans to accompany it and topped it off with a cozy black scarf. This look is perfectly minimalistic because there are few pieces but they speak to each other enough to make one cohesive ensemble. I didn't add in a bunch of bells and whistles because I wanted to let each individual piece stand out on its own. Making a quick adjustment to your wardrobe can quickly transform your mood, so don't be shy about setting your own style resolutions and sticking to them. 2015 is going to be a very chic year!

Dressed In Tweed

Jacket: Dear Creatures, Dress: Miss Guided, Shirt: True Religion, Earrings: Deb Shops, Necklace: Charlotte Russe, Shoes: Prada (also loving these beauties), Bag: Prada

Can you believe that Christmas is right around the corner? I feel like just yesterday was November, but now it's only a short 10 days away! That means lots of holiday parties, last minute shopping, and finishing up all of the decorations. For this look, I wanted to style a work appropriate outfit. Whether it's for the company holiday soirée or just a festive outfit to wear on the days leading up to Christmas, I thought that this red checkered dress was perfect for the holiday season. I layered a white button down underneath to add a contrasting collar and because it's just oh-so-perfect for this time of year. I topped it off with this super chic tweed jacket and a structured black tote. Add in a few sparkles with silver pumps and a sparkly statement necklace and you're ready for Old Saint Nick.

Happy Sunday everyone!
Just a quick post to share this fun weekend look that I wore during a fun getaway to Del Mar last weekend. Boyfriend and I had so much fun ducking into shops and strolling along this lovely seaside park. Del Mar is so beautiful and relaxing. Definitely a perfect spot to have a little day trip. I wore this pretty mint green blazer and paired it with a cozy cropped sweater, colorful spotted pants, silver cap toed heels and a gorgeous bouquet of pink roses (I just could't resist!).

I hope that you are enjoying your weekend!

Happy Thursday!
We don't get much rain here in LA so you can imagine my excitement about the couple of rainy days that we had last week. I was so happy to slip into my red rainboots to go jump in the puddles -- I was just like a little kid! Instead of wearing a rain coat, I wore a cream colored jacket with a faux fur stole. I added in a plaid button down for a pop of print and a pretty blue crossbody bag (& red boots) for a pop of color. Of course, I slicked my hair up into a ballerina bun to keep it from getting ruined by the elements.

What kind of outfit do you wear in the rain? I'm excited to be sharing a rainy day outfit video soon over on my YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe! :)

Oh hi there plaid and over-the-knee boots, fancy seeing you here, again. Yes, I'm a little obsessed, but can you really blame me!? For the longest time, we couldn't even wear this stuff due to the scorching hot temperatures in LA so now that I can, I'm taking full advantage. And plus, over-the-knee boots just give any look this instantly "cool girl" vibe. I decided to pair mine with this super chic plaid jacket and a sequined mini for a little unexpected touch of sparkle. I know what you're thinking, Cher Horowitz called and totally wants her outfit back. As if!

Thanks so much for reading! Have a beautiful Monday!

Flashback Friday: Flirty In San Francisco

Sweater: Lulu's (similar), Skirt: Lulu's (similar), Sunnies: Forever 21, Earrings: J Crew (similar here & here), Bracelets: Sole Society & T&J Designs, Bag: Lulu's, Shoes: Target

I must admit, I don't think that it would have been possible to wear this girly pink skirt and matching cropped sweater all around San Francisco without smiling, twirling and kicking up my heels. Outfits like this make me feel proud to be a woman. I mean, aside from the fact that we get to wear super cute clothes and curl our hair, we are pretty fabulous! As I get older, I realize that I can do anything I set my mind to, it just takes a tremendous amount of hard work and discipline. I'm more than happy to work hard to accomplish my goals.

Thank you guys gals so much for reading, I appreciate each and every one of you!
Have a lovely weekend!

Hi everyone, I hope your week is off to a great start! Today, I have partnered up with Target to share three looks incorporating white into fall/winter. I know you've probably heard a million times "no white after Labor Day" but in this day and age, it just isn't true. In fact, white can look très chic in the colder months. For today's post, I used white wardrobe pieces to create three very different looks. For the first look, I paired a black lace top with white denim and added in strappy leopard pumps for a pop of print. For my second look, I went with one of my favorite prints for fall -- plaid! I paired my plaid pencil skirt with a white graphic tee and topped it off with an edgy leather jacket. Lastly, I pulled out my favorite red trousers and paired them with a white striped top, a black belt and a leopard tote. It's easy to transition white into the colder months when you pair it with colors like black and red and add in a fall-approved print like leopard. Top any of these looks off with your favorite warm winter coat and your ready to conquer the day!

Are you a fan of transitioning your white staple pieces into fall and winter?
